Emergency Preparedness Made Simple

Texans have a reputation for being friendly people, reliably reaching out to help others even when inconvenient. That willingness to help, coupled with an ability to help, has incredible potential for good in the world. Ready Texas was born to equip those willing to provide "Good Samaritan" care with the Real Emergency items they need.

Ready Texas was formed by the experiences of a seasoned Board Certified Texas Emergency Physician. After years of "The knife just slipped", "He's never bitten anyone before", "I didn't think it was loaded", "It just wouldn't stop bleeding", etc. it became clear that many Texans didn't have the items needed to provide initial care for family or neighbors experiencing relatively common emergencies.

Collaborating with nonprofit organizations to provide custom individual first aid kits (IFAKs) for the Russo-Ukranian War further emphasized the need for individuals to be able to care for common injuries themselves. Unfortunately, prioritizing must-have's and identifying items of quality can be extremely difficult, even for healthcare workers. Where do you start?
